Homemade Chilli Pesto

Homemade pesto, perfect for mixing in with your weekly pasta dish, topping bruschetta and pizza!!



  • 2 handful of basil
  • 150ml olive oil
  • 40g Parmesan
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 50g pine nuts


  1. Toast the pine nuts on a medium heat until golden.
  2. Peel the garlic, crush and chop finely
  3. Grab a food processor and add the basil, pine nuts, olive oil garlic and Parmesan.4. Blend till smooth.

Top tip: You can add chilli to make the pesto have more of a bite, or tomato to make it more mild and chunky.  Perfect for mixing in with pasta, on bread or as a base on pizza!
